All of this snow is a beautiful sight for our sled riding friends!  Local snowmobile trails are opening for the first time this season!  Check with your local snowmobile club for trail conditions.  The snowmobile club for the town of Sardinia is the Pioneer SnoSurfers of Sardinia.

The fire company operates a 6-wheel Polaris Ranger and a Ski-Doo snowmobile to respond to emergencies on or off the trails!  This past Saturday, our members took some time to get familiar with how this equipment operates in the snow.  The training session also included a discussion on the signs of hypothermia and how to care for victims of cold weather emergencies.

We are always looking for volunteers!  Stop by our stations on Monday nights to see what the fire service is all about!
